Kendell Pinkney

Kendell is the founding Artistic Director of “The Workshop”. He is a Brooklyn based theatre-artist, producer, and rabbi. He produces and creates art at the intersection of race, religion, identity and sacred text. He has most recently been featured in the acclaimed new Israeli docuseries "The New Jew" with actor-comedian Guri Alfi, Saturday Night Seder and the “Unholier than Thou'' podcast. His broader collaborative works have been presented at venues such as 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, LABA @ the 14th St. Y, and Two River Theatre, to name a few.

Beyond his creative work, he is the Rabbinical Educator for the Jewish arts and culture organizations Reboot. He is a graduate of the NYU-Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.

 
 

Producing Associate
Talia Escobedo

Talia Escobedo is New York-based producer. Her theatrical experiences span across the commercial and not-for-profit sectors in the U.S., Mexico, Israel, and London.

She is currently a Theatre Management and Producing MFA candidate at Columbia University. Additionally, she was recently selected as a Cody Renard Richard Scholar - a program created by Cody and the Broadway Advocacy Coalition to cultivate the next generation of theatrical leadership of color.

Talia was formerly the General Management Intern at Thompson Turner Productions working on shows including: Leopoldstadt and Book of Mormon. Prior to Thompson Turner, Talia was a General Management Intern at 101 Productions working on: Dear Evan Hansen, Sam Gold’s Macbeth, and Plaza Suite amongst others. She is a former two time intern at the La Jolla Playhouse in the Education & Outreach department.

Beyond her creative work, Talia is on the advisory committee of Columbia’s Grad Network Hillel, and is a Birthright Foundation Ambassador.
